On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, the Faculty Information Exchange Series 2017-2018 was led by Dr. Manjusri Misra, a professor at the School of Engineering, along with Sarah Lima (Director of Talent Acquisition, Human Resources) and Linda Bellai (Consultant, Human Resources). The series discussed the topic of "Key Considerations in Hiring and Managing Research Staff".
The session highlighted important considerations and challenges in hiring research personnel on research grant funds at the University of Guelph. The series discussed each stage of the employment cycle, such as planning, recruitment, on-boarding, and termination. Special attention was also given to the subject of key considerations when recruiting postdoctoral fellows and staff from outside Canada.
