The BDDC participated in the University of Guelph's 101st annual College Royal open house on March 15 and 16, 2025. The College Royal is a campus-wide open house that provides a chance for people to see what professors and students have been working on and explore the campus.

The BDDC had an interactive booth with biodegradable material and automotive parts samples and a 3D printing demo. BDDC volunteers spoke with over 600 students, parents, children and other visitors about their research.
