BDDC members attended the SPE ANTEC 2025 conference

Amar Mohanty, Manjursi Misra, Debarshi Nath, and Arturo Rodriguez attended the SPE ANTEC 2025 Conference from March 3-6, 2025 in Philadelphia, PA. SPE ANTEC is an annual technical conference about plastics and polymer science that is open for anyone to attend. It highlights new industrial, laboratory, academic and international technology, research, materials and more.

Prof. Mohanty presented his work titled "Circular Economy Driven Biodegradable Composites: Can biodegradable plastics alleviate single-use plastic waste problem?"

Prof. Misra presented "Biocarbon materials for a circular economy"

Arturo presented his work titled "Influence of plasticizers and fillers on the rate of biodegradation of marine biodegradable cellulose acetate composites".

Debarshi gave an oral presentation titled "Effect of Compatibilization in Engineering Compostable Biocomposites of Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) Reinforced with Cellulosic Fibers"

Debarshi's poster presentation titled "Blown Films from Biobased Poly(Butylene Succinate-Co-Adipate) and Surface modified Wollastonite: Impact of Uniaxial Orientation on Film Performance", was selected as second prize winner.
