Dr. Chen Guowei received his PhD in Material Science from  Beihang University (BUAA), China in 2019 where he studied hierarchical structural damage behaviours of natural bamboo and its bio-inspiration epoxy composites. He then joined the BDDC in January 2020 as a postdoctoral fellow, bringing with him his experience with polymer composites, polydicyclopentadiene  (PDCPD) foams, and cellular fibrous materials.
