Oscar Valerio Gonzalez | PhD Candidate

Oscar Valerio is currently a PhD Candidate in Biological Engineering at School of Engineering, University of Guelph. He completed his M.A.Sc in Biological Engineering at University of Guelph in 2012. He received his degrees of Chemical and Biotechnical Engineer from the School of Engineering, University of Chile, Chile in 2008. His research interests include biofuels production and co products utilization in a biorefinery context. His current research involves the usage of crude glycerol, a co product from biodiesel industry, for the synthesis of biomaterials which can be blended with biobased polymers for reducing costs and improving its processability.
