Myra Mead is a second-year Bachelors of Engineering undergraduate student, completing work term with the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Center. Her work with the BDDC focuses on sustainable polymer blends, such as polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT), and semi-crystalline polyhydroxyalkanoate (sPHA).
