Milka Popov brings the expertise in project management and administration and knowledge of research funding milieu at the university, federal agencies and private sector partners. Milka joined the University of Guelph in July 2007 as a Research Projects Manager. Within BDDC, her responsibilities include post-project management and administration of multidisciplinary, inter-institutional Ontario Research Fund - Research Excellence projects and outreach activities with external audiences. In her previous position, she was Assistant Director at the CIHR Institute of Genetics, since the inception of the CIHR Institutes, in 2001. She led the implementation of programs and initiatives and worked closely with other federal agencies and voluntary health sector organizations. Milka has a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, and conducted postdoctoral research at the Hospital for Sick Children.
