Mal Hedrick

Mary “Mal” Hedrick obtained their Bachelors in Science with McNair honors in Chemistry at North Dakota State University in 2016. Post-graduation, they worked as a health foods and dietary products laboratory assistant gaining GMP, QA and QC experience in Fargo, North Dakota, USA. In Fall 2017, they joined Coatings and Polymeric Materials (CPM) department at North Dakota State University as a graduate student gaining research experience characterizing aircraft coatings for Boeing. Concluding the Boeing project, Mal’s interest turned to Biocomposites and sustainable polymers as they were excited to learn about Manju Misra and Amar Mohanty's research from their campus visit to Fargo in summer 2018 for CPM’s International Materials from Renewables Conference.
