The Bio-Based World announced that Club Coffee, a BDDC industry partner, is the winner of Bio-Based Product of the Year Award for PurPod100. The award is a continent wide search for the best bio-based product and chemical innovations for the year. 

PurPod100 is the world's first certified 100% compostable single serve coffee pod. It is an important achievement for this entire sector because millions of North Americans are now actively choosing the bio-based option over coffee in plastic capsules. This award is an honour that Club Coffee shares with the University of Guelph's Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre under Dr. Amar Mohanty as well as Competitive Green Technologies.
