BDDC Products to be Displayed at International Plowing Match

2016-09-20

On September 20-24, 2016 the University of Guelph will co-host a booth with the City of Guelph at the International Plowing Match (IPM) and Rural Expo.

As part of the IPM, the County of Wellington will have a showcase located at the entrance of the IPM. The IPM is the largest show of its kind, with over 600 exhibitors on 100 acres and a variety of things to see and do for the over 75,000 attendees each year.

The County has intentionally designed the Showcase and its programming to entice a younger generation of agricultural appreciators.  We intend on highlighting the many wonderful things ag-related in Wellington County.  The theme, "A Fresh Taste of Farming," will include two tents where visitors can learn all about Wellington, interact with various demonstration stations, learn about our businesses and municipalities, zipline 175ft from 30ft in the air atop a living, growing Wellington County map, visit our Wellington Farmers' Market and enjoy local entertainment.
